Mayor Backs London's Tallest Tower Plans

Architecture Week is reporting that London Mayor, Ken Livingstone, has put his support behind plans for London's tallest skyscraper.

Amid fears that English Heritage, the conservation watchdog, will attempt to block the development he said the Difa tower at Bishopsgate would be an appropriate addition to the capital's skyline. But did add that the tower should be of "exceptionally high design standards" that would enhance London's reputation as a global city.
