3 Phases Renewables Moves into LEED Silver Certified Facility in El Segundo, CA

3 Phases Renewables today announced that it recently moved to a new location in El Segundo, CA after 14 years in Manhattan Beach, CA. The company, who is seen as one of California's leading suppliers of comprehensive renewable energy power solutions for the State and Western Region, chose a facility that matches its commitment to the environment and also allows it to continue to implement green practices and efficiency upgrades. This state-of-the-art facility has been LEED Silver certified.

In order to achieve LEED certification, 3 Phases installed solar panels, which provide 100% renewable electricity, and every office uses energy-saving light motion sensors to ensure energy efficiency. The parking lot also features a publicly accessible charging station for electric vehicles, and the parking lot and roof feature highly-reflective colors and materials to mitigate the urban heat island effect.

Water was a concern as well, so 3 Phases implemented a system to capture rainwater in an underground catchment system that relieves the stress on the city storm water system during heavy rains and reduces direct flows to the ocean. Also, since gas is not available at the site, the Company uses hot water heaters that are significantly more efficient than conventional electric water heaters.

"Our new location is LEED Silver certified, and this shows that we're serious about reducing and eliminating the negative effects of our building on the environment," said 3 Phases' Principal, Mike Mazur. "Our operations are becoming more sustainable day-by-day, and currently, our office is in transition to a completely paperless system."

The new facility also represents an example of the Company's commitment to its customers. Mazur added: "Our commitment to sustainability starts at the workplace, but our greatest impact on sustainability is achieved through the services we offer to our customers. We help them meet their clean energy objectives by providing competitively priced green power that is generated through solar, wind, biomass and other renewable energy sources... we're very proud of that!"
