Call for Entries to 2006 Brick Awards

With the recent publication of its entry form and competition guidelines, the Brick Development Association (BDA) has launched the 2006 Brick Awards.

Entries must arrive at the BDA by Friday 7 July 2006. The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on 8 November 2006 to be held at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London’s Mayfair.

Designed to highlight excellence in the architectural, engineering and landscape applications of brick, the Brick Awards have in recent years gone from strength to strength to become one of the construction industry’s premier design award schemes.

Last year, over 220 projects were entered into eleven categories that cover housing, building & landscape, and technical and craft. The eleven winning finalists in each category are put forward for the BDA Building of the Year Award. Last year, this was won by Allies & Morrison’s dramatic Fitzwilliam College gatehouse and auditorium scheme in Cambridge.
