Architectural Firm Receives Top Award

The “Eagle’s Nest”, a new design by PrecisionCraft’s award winning architectural firm -- Mountain Architects, Inc., has been recognized in Log Home Living’s 8th Annual Design Contest as a Top 10 Design, and the “Editor’s Choice”.

The judges, a group of nationally renowned architects, admire the Eagle’s Nest for its well thought out living spaces as well as its uniqueness and visual appeal. According to Robert Pernell, one of the contest judges, “the roof lines, massive stone work, use of exterior wood beams and choice of windows make the Eagle’s Nest a magnificent mountain home.”

Log Home Living’s editors noted that the Eagle’s Nest was the overwhelming choice in receiving the coveted “Editors’ Pick” award. Experts in the log & timber home industry industry, Log Home Living’s editorial staff commented that the Eagle’s Nest “strikes a high note with its assortment of all the things we know our customers look for in a log & timber home: wide-open public spaces supported by private quarters and plenty of outdoor living….just enough space to live comfortably, but not so much that you sacrifice coziness…..extras such as the rooflines over the footprint’s intricate design of exterior angles and bump outs…..turn the familiar log home tune into a chorus of hallelujahs” (Log Home Living – Editor’s Pick, April Issue 2006).

In January 2006, PrecisionCraft Log & Timber Homes announced the spin-off of their design group into Mountain Architects, Inc. The creation of Mountain Architects signifies PrecisionCraft’s expertise in creating distinctive mountain homes through world class architecture and design. The Eagle’s Nest is only one of many exceptional designs available from PrecisionCraft.
