The QUIKRETE® Companies, the leading manufacturer of pre-blended commercial-grade concrete products for the building and home improvement industries, is introducing QUIKRETE® PRO Fast-Setting Concrete Mix, Advanced Formula QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer and QUIKRETE® Advanced Polymer Adhesives at the World of Concrete (WOC).
The full line of QUIKRETE® products will be on display at WOC in booth S10326 at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Jan. 23-26, 2018.
QUIKRETE® PRO Fast-Setting Concrete
The dominate product for setting posts in 20 to 40 minutes without mixing, QUIKRETE® Fast-Setting Concrete Mix in the Red Bag is also ideal for pouring utility pads and other relatively small slabs. At the urging of contractors, QUIKRETE® augmented the mix to create QUIKRETE® PRO Fast-Setting Concrete, which has twice the working time while still delivering the strength necessary for larger concrete slab projects. Designed specifically for contractors, commercial-grade QUIKRETE® PRO Fast-Setting Concrete is available in 80-pound bags for about seven dollars, which makes it an affordable option for pouring concrete slabs quickly without compromising quality.
Advanced Formula QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer
Designed to provide a permanent wear resistant surface that can withstand foot, vehicle and other heavy traffic, the new upgraded QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer formula delivers 3x greater bond strength, improved workability and extended working time. As a result, it’s easier and faster to transform and old worn concrete surface into a durable, long-lasting sidewalk, driveway or patio. In addition to establishing a new standard for resurfacing concrete, the new QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer is packaged in an exclusive Weather Barrier Bag™ that will protect it from inclement weather and other harmful elements for up to eight months.
A special blend of Portland cement, sand, state-of-the-art polymer modifiers and other proprietary additives, QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer is a proven shrinkage compensated repair material for making thin structural repairs to sound concrete in need of surface renewal. Surpassing the performance of competing products, tensile bond strength tests reveal that a concrete substrate will fracture or crack before its bond with QUIKRETE® Concrete Resurfacer fails. Applied with a squeegee, trowel or brush, one 40-pound bag will cover approximately 17 square-feet at 1/4 inches thick or approximately 90 square feet as skim coat. With a walk-on time of eight hours and drive-on time of 24 hours, it can renew a surface for 25 cents per square foot versus more than $3 per square foot to remove and pour a new slab.
QUIKRETE® Advanced Polymer Sealant Adhesives
A solvent and isocyanate free line of high-performance, commercial-grade flexible repair and bonding materials, QUIKRETE® Advanced Polymer Adhesives meet ASTM C920 standards. Designed to deliver or exceed the performance of traditional polyurethane or silicone sealants and adhesives, the single-component QUIKRETE® Advanced Polymer Adhesives are environmentally-friendly alternatives. Available in 10-ounce tubes, the QUIKRETE® Advanced Polymer Adhesives are applied with a high-quality caulk gun.
- Self-Leveling Sealant – permanently seals horizontal cracks and expansion joints in concrete with smooth, level, tack-free finish in 20 minutes.
- Mortar Joint Sealant – permanently seals and waterproofs mortar joints with textured matte, tack-free finish in 20 minutes.
- Concrete Crack Sealant – permanently seals and waterproofs cracks in concrete with textured matte, tack-free finish in 20 minutes.
- Construction Adhesive – permanently bonds concrete, masonry, brick, veneer stone, foamboard, drywall, wood and plastic in minutes.
- Non-Sag Sealant – permanently seals vertical cracks and expansion joints in concrete, masonry, stucco and brick with smooth, tack-free finish in 20 minutes.
