SMARTWaste System To Reduce Construction Industry Waste

The SMARTWaste system has been developed by the BRE to help those in the construction industry to save money, reduce resource use and increase productivity through better waste management.

The online SMARTWaste system uses four tools to evaluate waste in a step-by-step fashion. The tools are are SMARTStart (for a simple overview), SMARTAudit (detailed waste audit), SMARTStartLG (Local Government performance) and BREMAP (resource exchange). The system can be applied to any waste generating activity and is in use in the construction, demolition, refurbishment, manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries.
