Tackle Construction Waste Through Free On-Site Training

Building companies employing 50 people or less in the North East, North West, Yorkshire and Humber regions can now get valuable tips on how to tackle construction waste through free on-site training provided by Envirowise. Smaller building firms are being offered the chance to have two free 30 minute training sessions delivered on-site - and at convenient times and dates for their workforce.The perfect accompaniment to a sandwich at lunch, topics covered will include:

  • The benefits of resource efficiency

  • Efficient material handling

  • Segregation, re-use and recycling of waste

  • Relevant legislation and where to source further information

These Smaller Builder sessions are intended to raise awareness of the key construction sector waste issues. They are also highly practical - identifying real actions that can be taken to cut down on waste. Demand for these sessions, taking place across these regions between February and April 2007, is already high. Early booking is recommended
