CERAM to Present Slip Resistance at the Tile and Stone Shoow

CERAM will be presenting at the Tile and Stone show, which is being held from 1st-3rd July 2007 at ExCel, London.

The theme of the seminar is ‘Slip Resistance and Slip Testing’ and visitors will have the chance to see this on each day of the exhibition.

Statistics show that pedestrian slipping and tripping is the most common cause of injuries in UK workplaces and occurs across all industry sectors. As a result a “Slips and Trips programme” has been created to develop a national strategy that would achieve a reduction of 10% by 2010.

Jonathan Savage, Technical Representative from CERAM who will be presenting said: “The seminar will explain the main causes of slips and trips and preventative action that can be taken. It also examines the different safety standards and recommends the best ones to apply in different scenarios”.

CERAM is a recognised independent authority in the field of floor tiles and paver performance evaluation and has significant experience in carrying out slip testing on a wide range of flooring surfaces. CERAM carries out both laboratory based and on site slip resistance testing.

The seminar is being held in the Technical theatre on Sunday 1st July, 3.00pm, Monday 2nd July, 11.00am and Tuesday 3rd July, 3.00pm.
