Granite Construction Acquiries Certain Assest of Raisch Products

Granite Construction Incorporated today announced that it has acquired certain assets of Raisch Products, a leading asphalt concrete manufacturer in the Santa Clara County market. The assets will be operated by the Bay Area Branch of Granite Construction Company, a wholly owned subsidiary. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

James H. Roberts, Granite's Senior Vice President and Manager of Granite West said, "This acquisition is consistent with our vertical integration strategy and further strengthens our presence as one of the leading asphalt concrete contractors and producers in the San Jose and Santa Clara markets."
