Swedish Designer Flooring Popular with Armani, Hilton and Lacoste

All over the world, often in hotels and in boutiques, you'll find Swedish designer flooring. This is because the high quality and tasteful design is appreciated - by among others, Armani, Lacoste, Sheraton, Samsonite and Hilton. It is flooring manufacturer Bolon's products that have won the respect and interest of top architects and brand designers the world over. Their latest collection Eight, designed with the help of new technology and new raw materials, has a durability that is unsurpassed on the market. With a smoother and more durable surface, it is perfectly adapted to the high pace of city environments

Bolon, manufacturer of woven vinyl flooring, has expanded their wide assortment. Marie Eklund, chief designer and head of marketing says:

"Our products are usually appreciated for their trendy, tasteful design and we have noticed that the new collection Eight has already gotten a warm reception. More than anything else, I think that its high quality characteristics are what have made it popular so quickly. Our goals were set quite high and we managed to reach our grandest ambitions. As far as I know, there is no other flooring in the field that has all the characteristics that Eight has. Swedish, modern design and an attractive appearance are important qualities in all of our flooring lines, all of which also maintain a very high standard of durability and function."

The collection consists of eight models in four natural base colors, but more alternatives are on the way. They have gotten their names from the capital cities of the world like New York and Tokyo, since the products are principally intended to suit modern city offices and similar environments(*). Half are striped and have been named Eight a.m., while the other four are solid, and have been named Eight p.m. The collection is called Eight because it is the eighth collection. The name also plays partly on the eight hour workday, and partly on the infinity symbol, referring to its great durability. The flooring fulfills the highest standard 33(tk) for textile flooring durability. According to the company, the new flooring also fulfills a high standard for fire resistance, accident protection and sound muffling, and is easy to clean as well. The collection is sold in and 11/16 x 19 and 11/16 inch tiles (50 x 50 cm tiles), but the company also intends to sell 6'7" x 82' rolls (200 cm x 25 meter rolls) in the near future.

Produced using new technology
Eight is different from earlier collections in a number of ways. In order to achieve the smoother surface and to reach the high requirements for durability, the company has invested significant resources in the development of new production techniques. The composition of the raw materials in the new products makes it different from the others. The vinyl threads have gone through great changes, but the company remains quiet about the details associated with product development.

"Our goal is to always be on the cutting edge, something that can be clearly seen in Eight. The collection is specially designed to attract trend conscious customers who have strict demands on design and quality. We designed Eight with a major focus on giving the flooring an urban look. It needs to suit the big city pace, both in terms of appearance and practicality, and the simple graphic design is intended to have a calming effect on stressed-out individuals. This is why Eight is perfect for offices and similar environments. We expect it to revolutionize the market," concludes Marie Eklund.
