Silverdell Announces Being Short Listed for SME Contractor of the Year

Winners of this year’s ‘Asbestos Removal’ category at the Construction News ‘Specialists in Construction’ Awards, Silverdell are pleased to announce that they have now been short listed for Contract Journal’s Construction Industry Awards for the category SME Contractor of the Year.

The prestigious awards organised by Contract Journal are to reward innovation and excellence to the best contractors in British construction.

Now in its twelfth year, the 2007 awards ceremony will be held on October 4th at the spectacular London Grosvenor House Hotel.

The fiercely contested award for SME Contractor of the Year was open to all general contractors with fewer than 250 staff and a turnover under £50m in 2006 and will be sponsored by KPMG.

Mark Roberts, Silverdell Sales Director said:

“We are honoured to have been short listed for the award of SME Contractor of the year, these awards recognise the achievements of the past twelve months, rather than focusing on one single project, therefore, reflecting the all-round excellent performance Silverdell has attained for the whole year.”

Silverdell are now one of the country’s leading asbestos removal and management contractors nationally. They work in the public and private sector on both small and large contracts, some of which are technically demanding. Regional offices are located throughout the UK, providing quality assured solutions locally. Silverdell Plc was listed on AIM last year, specialising in the management and removal of asbestos
