Zamil Steel to Build Hanger at Malaysian Airport

Zamil Steel Vietnam (ZSV) has signed a contract with Domain Resources Sdn Bhd to manufacture and erect a hangar project for Sepang Aircraft Engineering Sdn Bhd at Sepang Airport, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The contract value is US$1.5 million, the biggest aviation project exported to Malaysia to date.

Sepang Aircraft Engineering Sdn Bhd (SAE) offers experienced technical design services and full maintenance of aircraft systemsfor its clients.

SAE is planning to maintain and repair more than 150 Airbus aircrafts for AirAsia, Malaysia’s popular budget carrier.The hangar weighs approximately 1,000 metric tons and has a roof area of 16,000 square metres. The portal frame multi-gabled with a 90 metre clear span, the largest clear span designed by ZSV to date.
