The Atlanta Airport Marriott Hotel is now offering state-of-the-art digital devices for its business travelers and computer-savvy guests. The new in-room technology, which includes a connectivity panel and HDTV (in mid-August), provides travelers with the services they need in addition to laptops and high-speed Internet access to contribute to their productivity on the road. "Our technology package is unlike anything offered in the area," said Michelle Burkett, director of marketing at the Atlanta airport hotel. "The 32-inch LCD flat panel television is a big differentiator in the guest experience, and the ease of connectivity to laptops and other digital devices enhances the satisfaction of our guests."
The new plug-in panel lets guests connect a host of digital devices to view on the flat panel, high-definition screen, including laptops, camcorders, digital cameras, video games and more. The standard 32-inch televisions are also equipped with a 25-watt stereo speaker system so guests can listen to the tunes on their MP3 players and iPods; no headphones required.
For example, the screen can be split so guests can watch TV while checking e-mail or researching on the Internet. Or, they can relieve stress playing a video game while listening to an iPod at the same time. Plus, when the new HDTV arrives in August, the number of television channels will increase.
The Atlanta Airport Marriott Hotel's new technology is further complemented by its small business facilities: VIP boardrooms that are fully equipped with the connectivity panels and high-speed Interest access in the hotel's Atlanta meeting space.
"Aside from our new innovations, some things are still the same," Burkett said. "We're still the largest airport hotel with a variety of unique dining options, and the closest proximity to the Georgia International Convention Center."
