The range of stainless steels available in the market place is vast and the choice for a particular application can often seem confusing. Because of the wide variety of grades, there is a perception that this is a "difficult material" to fabricate by welding. However, this need not be the case.
A workshop targeted at engineers and senior management will be held on Wednesday 18 February at Outokumpu Stainless [formerly AvestaPolarit] in Sheffield.
Specialists from TWI Limited, the British Stainless Steel Association [BSSA], Outokumpu Stainless and Linde Gas will provide some basic principles about how some of the common stainless steel grades "work", how to use them, and the types of applications in which they are utilised. The enrolment fee is £50 + VAT, which includes lunch.
