A great health and safety myths calendar 2008 has been released by HSE as a compilation of HSE's Myth of the Month cartoons.

The amusing myth cartoons in the calendar highlight how ridiculous most of the so-called 'elf 'n safety' tabloid tales are. Such stories detract from the real business of managing risks sensibly. Speaking about the latest health and safety statistics HSC Chair Judith Hackitt said - 'Never mind banning conkers or Christmas decorations, look at these figures - this is what health and safety is all about'
