Saint-Gobain Launches New Range of Gap Fillers and Silico Sponge

The Composites Division of Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Corporation (SGPPL) showcased two of its newest offerings -- the ThermaCool(R) line of gap fillers, and the COHRlastic(R) R10400 M silicone sponge -- at the National Manufacturing Show in Rosemont, Illinois. The show was held from September 22 through September 25th.

The new ThermaCool line of gap fillers (TC2006, TC3006, and TC3008) delivers excellent thermal conductivity for exceptional heat transfer. This new line was developed specifically to cover a broad range of application uses.

The COHRlastic(R) R10400 M is a high-consistency rubber (HCR), closed- cell, silicone sponge that improves on liquid silicone rubber (LSR) products in virtually all areas of mechanical performance. It also meets the crucial UL 94 V-0 standard for flame retardance -- the only high-consistency, true closed-cell silicone sponge available on the market to achieve this.

"We chose National Manufacturing Week to introduce both of these products because of the show's prestige, and because this venue allowed us to reach a very large audience," says Business Development Manager Steven Jette. "Visitors to our booth were very excited about these new offerings, and we were equally pleased to bring these technologically advanced products to market at this event."
