Arch Establishes UK Construction and Engineering Division

Arch Capital (UK) Ltd., a subsidiary of Arch Insurance Group (U.S.), has expanded into construction and engineering insurance with the appointment of Anthony Reilly as Construction All Risks/Erection All Risks (CAR/EAR) Underwriting Manager.

In this new role, Mr. Reilly will have the responsibility for developing an international portfolio of CAR/EAR business. Mr. Reilly was previously senior construction and engineering underwriter with SCOR UK, prior to which he held similar positions with Allianz, Eagle Star and Prudential.

"Tony's appointment allows us to offer a broader service to our clients. We see CAR/EAR as a valuable opportunity for us to reinforce Arch's reputation as a specialist in the construction sector," said Robert T. Van Gieson, president & CEO of Arch Capital (UK).
