SuperRoof contractors take the heat in Malta

Two seminars have recently been arranged by Ruberoid Building Products, to highlight the issues posed by increasing industry demands for fire performance flat roofing systems. The seminars took place at the Radisson and Hilton hotels in St Julians Bay, Malta, on the 2nd/3rd and 23rd/24th of April 2004.

The seminars were designed by Ruberoid to highlight the availability of a new range of Loss Prevention Certification Board approved fire performance roofing systems, and to update SuperRoof approved contractors about changes in legislation, insurance concerns and product development in the area of fire safety in flat roofing. The sessions also underlined Ruberoid’s commitment to working with their contractors to ensure that the flat roofing industry continues to meet the needs of the specifier, the building owner, the building insurer, and the roofing contractor alike.

The seminars detailed the way industry attitudes are changing with respect to fire safety in roofing, both in the performance of products in service and the way systems are installed. Insurance issues, much to the forefront of contractor’s minds at present, were also addressed. Time was allocated for open forum discussions within the sessions, where vital information about the changing market, and about the updated Ruberoid and Permanite product offers was exchanged.
