Steel Company Goes Green

Novolipetsk Steel has begun to revamp its lime rotary kiln dedusting systems in the refractory shop. This new environmental project will enable the Company to reduce dust in gases released by process facilities by two times.

NLMK has finished revamping two out of seven lime rotary kiln electrostatic precipitators with a capacity of 450 tonnes per day each.

The project is part of Phase 2 of NLMK's Technical Upgrade Programme. Total investments in the project will amount to over RUR660 million.
