Pass-Thru Devices Now Available from RectorSeal

RectorSeal®, a leading manufacturer of firestop products and mechanical devices, has announced the addition of pre-firestopped Pass-Thru™ Devices.

These devices provide contractors with an easy way to add or remove low-voltage telecommunications cables in fire-rated barriers without harming the firestop integrity of the barrier.

With a RectorSeal Pass-Thru Device, cables can be bundled and do not need to be laid flat. Multiple devices can be stacked or mounted horizontally. Installation is simple: remove the top of the device to fit it around the penetrating items, close it and insert it into the opening. Mounting brackets on each side of the barrier are attached to the device by friction, so no attachment to the wall or floor is needed. RectorSeal® Pass-Thru Devices contain a highly intumescent firestop material that expands when exposed to heat, forming a hard char that will inhibit the spread of smoke, gas, flame and water through the opening. RectorSeal Pass-Thru Devices are UL-tested and have an “L” rating that exceeds industry standards. Fill can be from 0% to 100% and still retain an “L” rating.

Pre-firestopped Pass-Thru™ Devices

Durable metal Pass-Thru Devices are available in two shapes: round (2” and 4” dia.) or square (2 ½” and 4”.) Square mounting brackets are available in single, double, triple, and six-unit configurations.
