Beck Technology Wins Two GSA Contracts Totalling $60mn

National IDIQ Contracts Awarded by the GSA for Building Information Modeling (BIM), Laser Scanning, and Related Services for a Five-Year Period

Beck Technology announced that they have been awarded two General Services Administration (GSA) Nationwide Indefinite Delivery – Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, each valued at $6 million for the base year and four one-year options with a total value of $60 million.

“After competing for these contracts with many other great firms, Beck Technology is extremely proud and excited to be selected as the prime contractor on two winning teams and subcontractor on a third. The GSA has been a leader in BIM and laser scanning for many years and we and our partners look forward to applying some of our knowledge and lessons learned in these areas to this first of its kind BIM and laser scanning contract,” said Stewart Carroll, COO of Beck Technology.

The nationwide BIM contract enables Beck Technology and its partners to provide professional BIM services on an as-required basis for all government agencies administering or funding, in whole or part, design, construction, and/or operations and maintenance programs. BIM services may be required at any time during a project/properties development and delivery, including: planning, design, construction, operations, facility management and or disposal. Services shall be performed for many project types, including, but not limited to: new construction, renovations, and modernizations. Contracted services include:

  • 3D laser scanning of existing buildings and conditions

  • Architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil BIM modeling

  • Building performance, circulation, security, and lifecycle analysis

  • BIM training, consulting, implementation, and strategic planning

  • Custom BIM software development

The nationwide laser scanning contract enables Beck Technology and its partners to provide customized professional 3D laser scanning services on a similar basis to the BIM contract. Laser scanning is a data collection process offering many advantages over traditional surveying such as reducing time and errors and enhancing the BIM process.
