EllisDon Announces its Partnership with The Construction Sector Council

EllisDon is proud to announce a partnership with The Construction Sector Council (CSC) to distribute their e-learning courses. The courses, which are being made available to all EllisDon employees, will be available 24/7 and will be covered by the company.

The CSC is an industry led organization that has invested in various e-learning courses that are currently distributed via various Construction Associations throughout the country. The first two courses being distributed through EllisDon are (Canadian) Construction Law and Communication, Negotiation, Conflict Resolution. Each course is Gold Seal accredited (worth 5 credits), and construction-specific, using examples from the industry and case studies to illustrate key points. "We are extremely pleased to be partnering with EllisDon to make online training part of their employee development goals," says Rosemary Sparks, Senior Director of Planning and Development at the CSC.

"Our immediate goal is to offer these courses as an option to help EllisDon employees meet their learning needs as expressed in their Personal Development Plans," states Monica Darroch, Learning & Development Manager for EllisDon. "Our long term goal is for these courses to become the building blocks for future course development. We will use e-learning to set the foundation and then support the learning through in-class application sessions that will reinforce key messages and ED best practices."
