Evolution Solar Reviews Locations for Demonstrating Thin Film Solar Panels

Evolution Solar Corp. (PinkSheets:EVSO) today announced that the Company is currently reviewing potential locations for a demonstration of cutting-edge thin film solar panels.

The demonstration is intended to be co-located at a University, with, or without, an existing solar energy department. By co-locating at a University the Company will have access to the site for customer and industry demonstrations, while at the same time providing an opportunity for the solar engineers of tomorrow to have access to cutting edge solar technologies.

Initial plans call for three different demonstration scenarios. Two scenarios will cover ground installations, one being a simple fixed installation, and the other having tracking capabilities along a single axis. The third scenario will demonstrate a typical slanted roof residential installation. All three demonstration scenarios will be installed with industry leading thin film solar panels.

“Universities are constantly looking at ways to both conserve energy as well as finding new and more environmentally friendly ways to produce it,” said Mr. Robert Hines, President of US Operations for Evolution Solar Corp. “This is a terrific opportunity for us to partner with an educational institution to mutually enhance knowledge of solar power, both operationally and academically.”

The demonstration installation will help Evolution Solar to compete with larger industry players such as First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR), GT Solar Int. (NASDAQ:SOLR) and Trina Solar LTD (NYSE:TSL).
