Beacon Enterprise Solutions Announces Partnership Deal with Smart Buildings

Provides Beacon the Opportunity to Increase its Global Footprint in Smart Building Practice

Beacon Enterprise Solutions Group, Inc. (OTC BB: BEAC), an emerging global leader in the design, implementation and management of high performance Information Transport Systems (“ITS”) infrastructure solutions, has signed a teaming agreement with Smart Buildings LLC, a provider of professional consulting and engineering services focused on integrated building technology system solutions to a variety of commercial, institutional and government markets.

Smart Buildings LLC (“Smart Buildings”) assists building owners in evaluating, assessing and designing integrated building technology systems, including building automation, IT, communication, security and energy management systems. They can work with designers and architects in developing system specifications, designs, and construction documents and aid facility and property managers to maximize the performance of their buildings. Smart Buildings has worked with a prestigious group of global clients, among them hospitals, universities, commercial properties, as well as all levels of government, both in the United States and abroad. Ave Maria University in Florida, one of Smart Buildings’ clients, was the recipient of the Realcomm 2007 “Best Use of Technology” awards. Smart Buildings designed and managed the implementation of all building systems on that campus, with its work encompassing a package that included lighting control, power management, HVAC control, data networks, and voice networks, among others.

Jerry Bowman, Beacon’s Senior Vice President of Global Services said, “Signing this teaming agreement with Smart Buildings is an important step in Beacon’s continued expansion of our capabilities as we increase our footprint in smart buildings technologies. I have had the great pleasure of working with Jim Sinopoli, Principal of Smart Buildings in the past, and look forward to continuing our global smart building and smart city design practice with him at Beacon.”

Smart buildings integrate building technology systems that include areas such as building automation, telecommunications, power, security, energy and enterprise management systems and information management software. By using this integrated approach, building owners realize significant cost savings over the traditional approach, with savings in areas such as capital expenditures, operating expenditures, and energy costs. Smart Buildings has already completed work in various areas of the world and with organizations that have quickly embraced the concept, with projects in Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, El Salvador and the United States.

Jim Sinopoli, Managing Principal of Smart Buildings LLC said, “Working with Beacon Enterprise Solutions, we know that our clients will receive the best-in-class ITS infrastructure solutions. With Beacon’s reputation for quality, and its global recognition, our clients will be assured that they will receive the highest level of professional service and expertise as they utilize Beacon’s integrated solutions. ”

Bruce Widener, CEO of Beacon Enterprise Solutions said, “While not too long ago a futuristic concept, smart buildings technologies have become a reality, and are now world renown for their economic, technological and environmental benefits. This teaming agreement with Smart Buildings LLC provides Beacon with the opportunity to broaden our footprint in the evolving smart building industry, while providing clients significant cost savings and improved return on investment. We are pleased to have been selected by this award-winning organization to join forces in terms of providing Layer 1 network solutions to clients.”
