BrightHome Energy Solutions is a home energy consultant and contractor business created in Elmsford, New York. Since its inception, BrightHome has hired Jay Latella, Tom Brown and Mike Waldron as its first Energy-Savings consultants, bringing a combined 60 years of home improvement experience to the company. The company founders include Joe Kaplan, J. Gordon Beittenmiller and Mike Brown with over 75 years investing and executive experience. Each consultant is accredited by the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and the New York State Energy Research Development Authority (NYSERDA). Six other team members have been hired, bringing the first two months workforce to 12.
BrightHome offers a wide range of services including comprehensive energy assessments, ENERGY STAR-rated appliances and lighting; air sealing; efficient heating and cooling; insulation; and air-tight windows and doors.
The comprehensive energy assessment (commonly known as an energy audit) is conducted by an energy consultant certified by BPI as a Building Analyst and Building Envelope professional, and will evaluate your home from the outside in, checking each room’s efficiency and safety. The assessment targets your home’s problem areas and develops solutions to reduce its energy consumption.
