Logical Automation Acquired by Carrier's Automated Logic Controls Business Unit

Carrier Corporation's Automated Logic controls business, a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative control systems for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting and energy management of buildings, has acquired Logical Automation, Inc. (LAI), an independent controls contractor. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Carrier Corp. is a unit of United Technologies Corp. ( UTX).

An Automated Logic dealer, Logical Automation designs, installs, and services building control systems and has a long record of technology leadership and a reputation for customer care.

"This acquisition builds upon Carrier's strategy to offer a comprehensive set of sustainable building solutions to its customers," said Kelly Romano, president, Carrier Building Systems and Services. "With their reputation for customer satisfaction and project excellence, Logical Automation is an exciting addition to Automated Logic's strong building automation offering."
