Dexter + Chaney and FMI Corporation will offer a complimentary executive management webinar, “Leading in an Unpredictable Future,” on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. The 40-minute webinar is designed for presidents, vice presidents, operations managers and other managers of subcontracting firms, specialty contractors, road-building contractors and general contractors. A 10-minute question-and-answer period will follow.

This event is the third in a series of complimentary, interactive webinars offered by Dexter + Chaney, developer of Spectrum Construction Software, in partnership with FMI Corporation, the premier management-consulting firm serving the construction industry worldwide. The companies have designed the webinars to help executives tackle the real-world problems that plague construction companies every day. Each event includes a checklist of points to be considered and suggested “best practices” to implement the strategy addressed at the webinar. The January 14 webinar will delve into the challenges and opportunities that come with holding a leadership position during a time when significant changes are affecting workplaces worldwide. Leaders today are faced with rapid technological advancements reshaping the way we do business, a monumental generational shift in the workforce, an emerging green movement, increased impacts of globalization, and unprecedented economic uncertainty. These issues will be examined during the webinar, helping participants to understand why leadership becomes more important during difficult and uncertain times.

Participants in the webinar will also learn more about the specific areas leaders can focus on in order to guide their organizations through difficult situations, as well as how to plan ahead and avoid specific obstacles and stumbling blocks in order to ensure the long-term success of an organization. FMI senior consultants Tim Tokarczyk and Peter Nielsen will present the webinar and facilitate questions.
