Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC) founder and CEO Damon Zumwalt is proud to announce the approval of plans for The Woodside Sports Complex, a 200-acre facility that will feature 17 baseball tournament fields coupled with multi-sport fields for soccer, rugby, lacrosse and field hockey, a 50,000 square foot indoor training facility and two athletes' villages.
Damon Zumwalt has partnered with former Major League Baseball player Reggie Smith and Lloyd Pantell to build this world-class facility. Poised to take the lead as the best in the Midwest, Woodside Sports Complex will host youth camps and tournaments of all types and is designed for children 8-13 years of age.
The sports complex will be located on a portion of the 1,300-acre CSC sister property Woodside Ranch Resort and Conference Center in the township of Lemonweir, Wisconsin, just five miles east of Mauston. The positive economic impact of the facility will infuse construction-related dollars into the local economy, create jobs and provide additional revenues from visiting athletes and families. Following a press gathering held at Woodside Ranch's Conference Center on January 11th, the Lemonweir Town Board approved the proposed complex, which is slated for a summer 2011 grand opening.
The Woodside Sports Complex will positively influence the lives of children, and Damon Zumwalt and his partners are committed to fostering the participation of young athletes of all socio-economic backgrounds. With Mr. Zumwalt and Mr. Smith's combined experience in professional sports and stadium security, the Woodside Sports Complex is expected to attract many professional athletes and highly-regarded coaches that will conduct various sports' clinics. Construction on the complex is scheduled to begin in April.
