A-Power Signs Deal with CMIC for Cement Plant Construction in Vietnam

A-Power Energy Generation Systems, Ltd. (Nasdaq: APWR) ("A-Power" or "the Company"), a leading provider of distributed power generation ("DG") systems in China and a fast-growing manufacturer of wind turbines, today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement with China Machine-Building International Corporation ("CMIC") to co-develop a turn-key solution in the construction of a major cement plant in Vietnam.

This DG project with CMIC has commenced immediately with the construction duration of 12 months. The total contract has a value of approximately 40 million dollars with a down payment within 10 days from the contract date. No other details were disclosed.
