Granite Construction Wins NDOT Rehabilitation and Widening Contract

Granite Construction Incorporated (NYSE:GVA) announced today that Granite Construction Company has been awarded a $31.4 million contract by the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) for the rehabilitation and widening of approximately two miles of U.S. 395 near Reno, NV.

The scope of the project includes widening five bridges and adding lanes to the mainline and auxiliary lanes between several interchanges. It will also include construction of retaining walls, asphalt and concrete paving, lighting and landscaping.

Work is estimated to begin March 2010 and last approximately 13 months.
