Owens Corning Introduces New Cultured Stone Architectural Trim Products

Builders, architects and designers know the difference between okay and outstanding can be found in the smallest of details. That's why Owens Corning has introduced Cultured Stone brand Electrical Box Stones, an attractive, coordinating surround for wall-mounted light fixtures and receptacles. The new stones will be featured at the Pacific Coast Builder's Conference in San Francisco.

Cultured Stone Electrical Box Stones have pre-formed holes to accommodate standard extension boxes. They feature a universal stone texture to coordinate with all types of Cultured Stone and Cultured Brick wall veneers, as well as other exterior materials. Their rectangular shape makes it easy to install adjacent stone veneer.

"Owens Corning is the leader in providing aesthetic solutions for builders and Electrical Box Stones are a simple yet innovative example of that leadership," said Scott Flowers, vice president and general manager, Owens Corning Cultured Stone. "They're the architecturally correct way to finish wall mounted fixtures and receptacle plates."

Cultured Stone Electrical Box Stones come in two styles: Light Fixture Stones are 8"x10" with a grooved border design; Single Receptacle Stones are 6"x8" with raised chamfered edges. Both accommodate standard extension boxes and are available in gray or taupe. Installer-friendly Electrical Box Stones are applied as an adhered veneer, just like Cultured Stone manufactured stone veneer simply apply mortar to back of the stone and place over the extension box.
