If you have attempted to install a ceiling air vent, light fixture or other electrical device, you know cutting the hole can be a difficult, time consuming, dirty and often dangerous task—a task nearly impossible for even a skilled worker to conquer alone.
Thanks to Clean Cut, an innovative cutting tool designed by Jade Products LLC and made possible with Eastman Chemical Company's Spectar copolyester, there is an easier, faster, cleaner and safer solution.
As a single-operator system, Clean Cut is designed to minimize cleanup associated with cutting ceiling openings. By fitting the rim of its clear, high-impact Spectar copolyester catch basin with a soft seal gasket suitable for all ceiling types, Clean Cut achieves its air-tight fit.

Eastman’s Spectar copolyester can be extruded into plastic sheet that is crystal clear, tough, chemical-resistant, versatile, easy to work with and affordable—making it ideally suited for use in displays, signs, fixtures, point-of-purchase and industrial products and other demanding sheet applications. Spectar copolyester product advantages are demonstrated through a variety of fabrication techniques, including screen printing, die cutting, solvent bonding, laser cutting, machining and thermoforming. Clean Cut's spring action mechanism maintains even pressure and constant support against the ceiling's surface, reducing contamination concerns for a broad range of consumers, from retrofit residential housing to hospital critical care areas.
Gloves suitable for either right or left-handed users can be easily snapped into place along the perimeter of an access point located at the bottom of the Spectar copolyester basin. Ease of use and serviceability are facilitated by Clean Cut's strong, lightweight construction and fully adjustable locking pole. It is easy to assemble, clean, dismantle and transport. Optional accessories include a custom carry bag and replacement gloves in small, medium and large sizes.
