Custom Building Products to Apply Microban Antimicrobial Technology to Grout and Sealers

Antimicrobial product protection company, Microban International, has entered into a partnership with tile and stone installation company,

Custom Building Products, wherein the latter will employ the Microban antimicrobial protection in its grout solutions. Custom Building Products has recently unveiled a product that has used the Microban antimicrobial technology for the first time. The company plans to deploy this technology in its other product lines as well.

Bathrooms and other high moisture areas are places where microbes breed and thrive. These microbes can be seen in the form of mold, mildew or bacteria. Custom Building Products will add the Microban antimicrobial protection to a selected line of sealers and grouts to stop such bacterial growth that can also result in ugly stains. The Microban technology administered will also work between cleanings with continuity.

The first product from Custom Building Products to be embedded with the Microban technology is Fusion Pro Single Component Grout, a plaster product slated to hit the markets in the near future. It is a ready-to-use grout that requires no mixing. Fusion Pro features an advanced formula that helps the solution spread easily and clean efficiently. It is a next-generation solution that cures cracks and crevices exhibiting exceptional hardness that is usually associated with cement grouts. The solution offers superior color consistency and is highly stain resistant like the epoxy grout.

Microban International, under the licensed brand name of Microban, markets custom-engineered compounds. The company’s range of services includes regulatory and marketing support. The brand comes with a promise of durable antimicrobial protection that does not affect the useful life of the product.
