Interstate + Lakeland Lumber Ship House Packages of Eco Red Shield Coated Lumber

Eco Building Products, Inc. announced today that Interstate + Lakeland Lumber, an Eco Building Products affiliate, located in Greenwich, Connecticut, has filled the pipeline and continues to ship house packages of Eco Red Shield™ coated lumber.

The momentum in the Tri State market continues as Interstate + Lakeland Lumber completes shipment of a 7,000 sq. ft. custom home to one of Fairfield County's finest home builders, Bradford Estates.

Ed Zimmerman, President of Bradford Estates, attended Interstate's first builder round table event introducing the Eco Red Shield product. Both Ed and Interstate were very excited about finally having the opportunity for Ed's clients to be the first builder using Eco Red Shield in the Darien, Connecticut market. Recently, on a crisp New England Fall day, while on the job site, Ed said, "I believe in framing with Eco Red Shield protection, now I can offer my clients peace of mind that the structure of their home will have termite, wood rot protection as well as Class A fire inhibitor on their entire framing lumber in addition to mold protection! I know of no other product available in the market today that offers this combination of Eco-Friendly protection for my clients."

As we finish up supplying the Bradford Estates framing package, Interstate + Lakeland Lumber is close to signing up three new homes located in Westport, Ct., Scarsdale, N.Y., and Rye, N.Y. Now one month since Hurricane Sandy and Sheldon Kahan, president of Interstate + Lakeland Lumber has received numerous calls from perspective clients inquiring about framing lumber that provides mold and fire protection. "I am very optimistic and excited about the market's potential for using Eco Red Shield for the massive housing rebuild throughout the tri state area", stated Kahan. Additionally, Kahan states that the third and fourth quarters have been very successful for establishing Eco Red Shield as a viable choice for framing throughout the Westchester, N.Y. and Fairfield, Ct housing markets.

"Interstate + Lakeland Lumber are one of the country's finest full service lumber companies. Sheldon Kahan, the President of Interstate + Lakeland Lumber, had the vision to recognize the impact Eco Red Shield will have on the future evolution of the lumber industry. He knew that once social media took hold of the homeowners, protected lumber would be the product of choice," stated Steve Conboy, President and CEO of Eco Building Products. "It is a shame to see raw lumber going vertical in places like Colorado Springs to utilize the same fire wood to rebuild after the devastation. After hearing about all the homes being built in Colorado with raw lumber, Shelly said, it was the definition of insanity, how can they expect a different result if they do the same thing. If Sheldon Kahan was up for the Innovator of the Year Award he would get my vote," added Conboy.
