TremGlaze Sealants Qualify for LEED™ Green Building Rating System

Tremco’s TremGlaze-branded window and door performance sealants qualify for use under the policies of LEED™ green building rating system. Through LEED™ (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), “credits” are awarded which can be used to rate a building based on accepted energy and environmental principles.

The U.S. Green Building Council, a promoter of green building policies, developed the LEED™ rating system. Environmentally-green construction products can contribute to the environmental performance of the whole building. A building with a LEED™ designation, in addition to being more efficient, may be eligible for tax credits and an increased market value. TremGlaze sealants can help contribute to earning in the category for Materials & Resources – Credit 5. LEED™ letters for TremGlaze sealants are available from the Tremco Technical Services Department.
