Freetech Starts G206 Jieyang Section Road Maintenance Project Using Hot-in-Place Recycling Technology

Freetech Road Recycling Technology (Holdings) Limited (“Freetech”, or the “Group;” stock code: HK.6888), a leading asphalt pavement maintenance integrated solution provider, announced that the Group has successfully undertaken the China National Highway G206 (“G206”) Jieyang Section road maintenance project in Guangdong Province using Hot-in-Place recycling technology with a total service area of approximately 300,000m2.

G206 is the main road of Jieyang City of Guangdong Province in the People's Republic of China. The average daily traffic volume of this road is over 30,000 vehicles and the asphalt pavement has been seriously damaged. Appointed by Jieyang Highway Survey and Design Institute, the Group’s Road Maintenance Technology Research Center used the road deflectometer testing vehicle, the multi-purpose road testing vehicle, the road friction testing machine, and other specialized equipment to test the pavement strength, performance, coring and material of G206 and designed the Hot-in-Place road maintenance scheme.

During the G206 road maintenance project, the Group will not only treat the road diseases and improve the efficiency by using Hot-in-Place recycling technology, but also reduce traffic congestion, eliminate waste emissions and demonstrate the technical characteristics and comprehensive advantages. According to data and model calculations, the project will save 28,800 tons used and old asphalt mixture, 18,000 tons of new asphalt mixture and reduced 794 tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Besides, the Group guarantees that the recycling rate and using rate of the old pavement materials will reach 100%, which will meet the related regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China and the local governments.
