High Capacity Attractive Guttering System from Wavin Plastics

The OSMA StormLine rainwater system from Wavin can cope with extreme conditions while offering an attractive profile to modern townhouses, apartment blocks, detached homes and conservatories.

StormLine guttering features internal ribs and a high front edge profile that can quickly bring rainwater under control and guide it efficiently to the outlet, even under storm conditions with unusually high run-off rates.

The new guttering range, with its classic ogee profile, is designed for roof areas up to 254m² with one downpipe, making it suitable for three-storey townhouses, multi-storey apartment blocks, large detached houses and conservatories.

The high fronted gutter profile conceals the edges of roof tiles and hanging brackets to give clean, attractive lines around the roof perimeter.

StormLine guttering and gutter clips are quick and easy to install, and require minimal maintenance. The internal ribs help improve water flow, preventing leaves sticking to the gutter base and reducing the risk of blockages.

The upper edge shape incorporates an inner rail to which support brackets can be simply fixed so that they are hidden from view and don’t impede rainwater flow.

StormLine fittings have side wings incorporating retainers for first-fix screws. This makes it easy to adjust the guttering up and down to ensure it is perfectly aligned and positioned. If necessary, guttering can be secured in place using back fixing holes, angled for easy screwdriver and power tool access.

The range is available in black, brown and white, and outlets can connect directly to 61mm SquareLine or 68mm RoundLine downpipe systems without additional adaptors.

For taller buildings that need longer and heavier downpipes, a restraint on the running /stopend outlet spigot secures the pipe fitting more firmly and makes maintenance easier.

Wavin Plastics’ head of marketing Michelle Fleming explains the benefit of StormLine systems over traditional guttering: “The challenge of managing high volumes of rain and stormwater run-off safely and efficiently has never been so great. StormLine offers a top quality solution to increasing demand for high capacity gutter systems that look good and perform well in the toughest conditions.”
