ACJ Stone Concrete Polishing, (ACJ-CP) Northern Nevada's certified provider of comprehensive concrete surfacing and repair services announced today the completion of its second level of concrete renovation and repair certification training. The training is focused on enabling ACJ-CP to usher in a new era of services related to the surfacing, repair and refinishing of concrete as an architectural design element for homes and commercial establishments alike.

ACJ-CP is the areas first contractor to have attained both of the f ollowing certification levels:

  • Trained - ACJ-CP has successfully completed the fundamental course requirement Concrete Polishing 101 and has mastered the basic skills and implementation requirements.
  • Certified - ACJ-CP has successfully mastered the advanced Concrete Polishing 201 training program, completing a minimum of five concrete surfacing, repair or renovation projects and demonstrating the ability to produce exceptional work. (Completed project photos and on-site inspection are required).

"This is a very exciting era for builders, contractors, designers and architects with respect to the new look, feel and purposes for concrete," said Austin Willis, president of Nevada Concrete Polishing. "Concrete has been the structural workhorse for commercial and residential buildings for ages, but with our new technologies, tools and processes concrete is finally coming out from the subfloor and with our help shining all on its own. Our environmentally friendly sealants, dyes and processes provide a unique and entirely new way to design and complete floor spaces. We can put a pattern and color scheme together that emulates marble and other fine stones or formal tile grids and once we seal it the floor is stain and abrasion resistant for a guaranteed decade's wear and tear."

ACJ-CP and colleague contractors across the country are introducing a brand new role for concrete in homes and industrial environments. The new specialized tools and technology behind concrete polishing enables never before possible opportunities for the new surfacing or restoration of existing concrete surfaces from floors to countertops and walls. Polished Concrete brings out the aesthetic beauty in natural concrete. It easily and cost- effectively transforms concrete into a beautiful, functional, low maintenance, high performance surface without the use of topical coatings. Polished concrete is soft to the touch, smooth, dense and lustrous. It can be polished to a smooth glass-like finish, that actually appears wet or you can have a brilliant marble like luster, matte or semi gloss finish. The resurfacing or polishing process renovates and enhances new and old floors. Polished concrete has made a new space for itself in the 21st century as a durable and affordable alternative to marble, granite, tile, linoleum, or traditional coated concrete.

"We are pleased to be able to offer this unique design and decorative option for our customers and neighbors in Northern Nevada," Mr. Willis continued. "We invite everyone to visit our website for additional information and a look at our photo portfolio. We look forward to working with homeowners, builders and designers to bring about the new concrete revolution."
