Windquest Series Vinyl Windows and Doors Introduced by Kolbe

Delivering high-performance, low-maintenance protection from hurricanes and gale-force winds, Kolbe introduces Windquest™ Series vinyl windows and patio doors. These new products offer uncompromising detail and functional features to create coastal residences with quiet, comfortable interiors and secure, durable, energy efficient exteriors.

The Windquest Series includes casement, awning, sliding and single hung windows, and sliding doors in a full range of sizes, shapes and configurations. Part of Kolbe’s K-Force™ impact certified products, they have been testing according to Miami-Dade County HVHZ protocol. All Windquest Series impact certified products have met large missile impact level D and wind zone 4 testing standards in excess of 140 mph.

Design pressures in zone 4 often exceed 65 psf and can approach 110 psf. If the glass is broken by strong winds or flying debris, the units’ dual-glazed insulating impact laminated glass is engineered to remain intact helping reduce property damage and severe injury. The laminated glass also contributes to forced entry and noise resistance for day-to-day security, comfort and peace of mind.

Along with these acoustical and protective qualities, Windquest Series impact certified products’ multi-chambered uPVC extrusions create a thermal barrier for improved performance. The units’ fusion welded frames and sash corners also prevent the infiltration of water and air, while providing greater structural integrity. Further enhancing these standard features, Windquest Series vinyl products are available with optional energy-efficient LoE glass with argon gas. Benefiting all climates, Kolbe’s glass choices help save on utility costs by keeping homes cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

Windquest Series’ low-maintenance vinyl products come in white or beige to complement today’s most popular design schemes. For traditional coastal styling, Kolbe presents numerous divided lite patterns for optional grilles-in-the-airspace. Trims, accessories, screens and a selection of handle and hardware styles also may be requested.

Windquest Series windows and patio doors are backed by Kolbe’s limited lifetime warranty that includes a 20-year warranty on insulating glass, a five-year warranty against delamination and a 10-year warranty on hardware.
