Ground treatment - getting the best from difficult sites

BRE is holding a one-day seminar at its Watford site on 24 February 2004. 'Ground treatment - getting the best from difficult sites' will explain how best to use ground treatment techniques for building developments on poor ground, whether soft, organic soils or fills.

It is aimed at practising engineers, specifiers and developers (rather than geotechnical specialists), who need to understand the key elements of ground treatment and its application.

The event will include presentations from leading specialists in the field and will focus on:

  • ground engineering problems - how to identify them
  • what ground treatment can do and why it works
  • case studies that illustrate problems and solutions.
