Steel Framed Buildings to be Wrapped in Breathable Membrane to Ensure Long Term Structural Integrity

DuPont South Africa recently developed specifications in conjunction with the Steel Framed Housing Association that require all steel-framed houses be wrapped in a breathable membrane to ensure the long-term integrity of the buildings.

DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap® was identified as the ideal product to meet and exceed all of the requirements. It offers quality, cost and energy efficiencies for low-rise residential and non-residential buildings.

"The building and construction industry in Africa has experienced tremendous growth and offers ongoing opportunities. With a wide range of DuPont offerings and solutions for the construction industry, we are committed to business growth,” said Alberto Gaspar, regional director, DuPont Africa.

Together with leading construction organizations, DuPont South Africa is training teams on how to accurately install Tyvek® HouseWrap®.
