Rebuilding Together Launches Nonprofit Organizational Development Institute

From the floor of their most attended national conference in a nearly 20 year history, Rebuilding Together announced the launch of the Organizational Development Institute.

As the nation's lead nonprofit preserving affordable homeownership, Rebuilding Together serves low-income homeowners in nearly 1800 communities through the work of more than 225 affiliates. The Organizational Development Institute (ODI) will serve the affiliate network with training programs in nonprofit management practices to support the work of paid and volunteer staff as well as local and regional board members.

"The ODI is absolutely necessary to support today's complex and sophisticated nonprofit organization," said Gary A. Officer, President and CEO of Rebuilding Together. "We will provide experts and offer training in all facets of organizational governance and management to continuously improve the quality and sustainability of our diverse affiliate network."

Led by Kristine Dunn, Director of Organizational Development, who has brought her unique experience in designing curriculum and training platforms to the National headquarters of Rebuilding Together to create a series of programs for the affiliate network which will include regional training opportunities, routine webinars and conference calls. Some of the topics that will be covered in 2008 include Standards of Excellence, Program and Project Management, Advocacy, Marketing and Communications and web site development.
