Supplier Of The Year award for Thermalite

Thermalite, the UK’s leading manufacturer of aircrete technology, is celebrating a great success after winning the prestigious David Wilson Homes National Group Supplier of the Year Award 2003.

The industry award was presented to Thermalite’s Business Development Director, Peter Willsher by Mike Stansfield, David Wilson’s CEO, at their annual award dinner at the Hilton Metropol, Birmingham this January.

Peter Willsher, on receiving the award, commented: “We are extremely pleased to have won this prestigious award from David Wilson Homes. The fact that they are one of the largest house builders in the UK and one of our main customers is satisfying enough. However, considering that we won this award in a testing year for the entire industry is even more rewarding.”

Site managers through to regional buyers, technical managers, and quantity surveyors completed a questionnaire supplied by David Wilson Homes to survey the quality of services offered by all its suppliers. The survey resulted in Thermalite being highly commended for its performance, response to orders and handling of technical enquiries. Thermalite was also measured against industry key performance indicators, which gauge the handling of complaints, overall working partnership and the successful delivery of products. Thermalite was successful in all areas, securing David Wilson Homes’ top award.
