E2 Dual-Flush Toilet Launched by Niagara Conservation

Niagara Conservation, the leading manufacturer of high-efficiency residential conservation products and a major innovator in the field of eco-friendly toilets, has launched a new water-saving product.

E2 Dual-Flush Toilet

The E2™ dual-flush toilet offers two flush options: a light waste option at 1.1 gallons per flush and a heavier waste option that uses 1.28 gallons per flush. The E2™ is equipped with high-performance push-button technology to ensure a full flush at the desired amount of water use.

The new toilet is just one product in Niagara's expanding line of water-efficient toilets. "Niagara has served as a major innovator in the field of water-efficient and energy-efficient residential products for more than thirty years," said Carl Wehmeyer, the company's executive vice president. "Adding a toilet with dual-flush technology to our line is just one way we can help both homeowners and commercial builders save water and money. Because toilets are known water-wasters, the E2™ will be especially useful in geographic regions that are experiencing drought conditions," Wehmeyer said.

Dual-flush toilets are common in countries such as Australia that face regular water shortages, and are now catching on in the United States. The E2™ is maintenance-free and doesn't sacrifice power for efficiency. It also offers:

  • A powerful, high-performance flush that is virtually clog-free
  • High-efficiency technology
  • A half/full flush at 1.1 (half) and 1.28 (full) GPF
  • A 17" chair height bowl that meets ADA requirements
  • 12" rough-in
  • A limited warranty

The toilet, which can save homeowners thousands of gallons of water per year, also features an elongated bowl.

Niagara Conservation also manufactures high-efficiency showerheads, faucet aerators, water and energy conservation kits and other conservation products. The company offers a complete line of energy and weatherization products as well as water and energy conservation programs and services for utilities, government agencies and other companies in need of conservation management.
