Rok Top Company To Work For

Leading property solutions provider Rok is a top place to work according to the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For list announced last night in which Rok featured at number 98.

Rok, which employs around 1900 people and has 26 centres across the UK, took part in the survey for the first time this year. Employees were asked to rate the company in a series of questions on eight areas making up key components of a successful workplace.

Rok People Director Paul Wilkinson said the group was naturally delighted to have made the highly regarded list at its first attempt. “One of our stated objectives is to be best employer in our sector and this independent assessment indicates that we are moving in the right direction. “There are sound business reasons for this objective as we know from the organisers of this List that companies appearing in it consistently outperform the rest of the FTSE All-Share index. “Experience has shown us that we perform well by recruiting people with the right attitude and creating an environment for them where they have a sense of ownership and worth.” Paul added that Rok would not be resting on its laurels but gaining detailed feedback from the organisers on where it scored well and where it did less well and using this information as an improvement tool on a Rok wide basis and at a local level and to join the ranks of companies such as Microsoft, Lush and Bacardi-Martini.

More than three-quarters of those at Rok who were asked said work was an important part of their life, a top 40 score among all 100 best companies and only 11 companies in the list had fewer people disengaged from their jobs.

The Sunday Times List is the second list in which Rok has appeared in recent months with its name appearing 39 th in the European Business Hot 100 List of fastest-growing businesses.
