CPSC Releases List of Top Sulfur-Emitting Drywall Manufacturers

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is releasing today the names of the drywall manufacturers whose drywall emitted high levels of hydrogen sulfide in testing conducted for the agency by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). There is a strong association between hydrogen sulfide and metal corrosion.

Care:4 Environmental Certification Awarded to New Saint-Gobain’s Building in Northboro

The new Saint-Gobain R&D center in Northboro has been honored with the company's prestigious "Care:4" environmental award. It was formally opened last year by Governor Deval Patrick and is one of only two buildings throughout the world to attain the rating.

Kiewit-Mortenson JV Wins Multiple Award Construction Contract from NAVFAC

Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation, announced today that Kiewit-Mortenson Joint Venture, based in Kapolei, Hawaii, is one of seven companies to be awarded a multiple award construction contract (MACC) by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific to compete for design and construction projects on Guam and other areas in the NAVFAC Pacific area.
