Georgia-Pacific today announced that it has completed the purchase of Grant Forest Products' oriented strand board (OSB) facilities at Allendale and Clarendon, S.C., as well as the facility at Englehart, Ontario, and the associated facility at Earlton, Ontario. The acquisition, first announced in January, totaled approximately $400 million.

CPSC Releases List of Top Sulfur-Emitting Drywall Manufacturers

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is releasing today the names of the drywall manufacturers whose drywall emitted high levels of hydrogen sulfide in testing conducted for the agency by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). There is a strong association between hydrogen sulfide and metal corrosion.

Kiewit-Mortenson JV Wins Multiple Award Construction Contract from NAVFAC
