Technip to Supply Flexible Pipe Products to Norwegian Projects

Technip (Paris:TEC) (ISIN:FR0000131708) has been awarded by Statoil ASA a three-year framework contract for the design, fabrication and supply of flexible pipe products for projects in Norway.

The framework contract will be executed by the Group’s operating center in Oslo, Norway. It covers the supply of flexible risers(1), flowlines(2) and associated equipment.

The flexible pipe will be fabricated at Technip’s plant in Le Trait, France.

This award is confirmation of the Group’s leadership position on the North Sea Subsea market.

(1) Riser: a pipe or assembly of pipes used to transfer produced fluids from the seabed to surface facilities.

(2) Flowline: flexible or rigid pipe laid on the seabed for the transport of production or injection fluids.
