Harsco and ArcelorMittal Sign Outsourced Mill Services Agreement in France

Worldwide industrial services and engineered products company Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) announced today a new Harsco Metals outsourced mill services contract in France with ArcelorMittal valued at approximately $18 million over its duration, as steel production levels continue to gradually recover in key markets served by Harsco.

The new five-year contract builds on Harsco's 40-year history of providing onsite mill services at the ArcelorMittal Dunkerque works in northern France, an integrated steel mill producing over 6 million tons of steel per annum for the automotive industry and other customers.  Harsco will expand its onsite role to provide refractory maintenance and meltshop services in continuous support of the mill's ladle metallurgy furnace and converter operations.

Announcing the award, Harsco Metals CEO Galdino Claro said, "Coming out of the deep downturn of late 2008 and 2009, it is gratifying to see the industry's leading producers continuing to recognize Harsco's knowledge-based solutions and strong capital resources as integral to their recovery goals." The industry-leading Harsco Metals unit supports steel and metals producers as an on-site service partner at more than 160 mills in over 35 countries.
