Texas Sterling Construction Bids Low for $24.9 Million Construction Project

Sterling Construction Company, Inc. (NasdaqGS: STRL), ("Sterling" or the "Company") today announced that its subsidiary, Texas Sterling Construction Co., was the apparent low bidder on a $24.9 million construction project in Collin County, Texas which is northeast of Dallas.

Project construction is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2010 and be completed within 21 months. The scope of the project consists of demolishing the existing Wilmeth Bridge over I-75 and the construction of two bridges, each 500 feet long, on I-75 over Wilmeth Street, including the construction of 275,000 cubic yards of embankment and 110,000 square yards of approach paving.
